The Midnight Shorts were described to me as a unique blend between horror short films and the plain ass weird. Ah, yes: a grouping of films that fit my Facebook profile description.

Varied, vast and sometimes hard to watch, Eric Marc made it his goal to watch every short film offered at SXSW. While he didn’t succeed, Eric did catch a well-rounded view of selections from all of the shorts programming.

Eric Marc visits the Hideout in Austin for one of the brilliant Shorts programs running during the 2010 SXSW Film Festival, and realizes that both short films and coffee need to be savored, not rushed.
