Look Up In The Sky: Snyder Casts Henry Cavill As Superman

According to Deadline Legendary Pictures and Zach Snyder have found their new Superman. Henry Cavill (Stardust, The Tudors) will be filling out the cape and tights this time around.

So far,

the two actors to reach the greatest heights in the role have been Christopher Reeve in is icon portrayal (which set the stage for just about all versions since) and Tom Welling who has been portraying a young Superman/Clark Kent for the past decade on Smallville. Fan reaction is always scatter shot to news like this so it will be interesting to see how Cavill is received.
