Singer Auctions Off ‘X-Men’ Set Visit, Leaks Synopsis
If you’d like to burst through the spoiler alerts and be your very own “on-the-set” mole for “X-Men: First Class,” it’ll cost you. Director Bryan Singer is auctioning off a set visit, and it’s not going to come cheap.
The set visit auction, being run through CharityBuzz, benefits Project Angel Food, who provide meals for “men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses.â€
“X-Men: First Class” is filming in London in Fall 2010, and stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier / Professor X; Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr / Magneto; and Benjamin Walker as Hank McCoy / Beast. Amber Heard, Rosamund Pike and Aaron Johnson are also rumored to be a part of the first class of mutants to join up with Xavier.
Here’s the film’s newly-minted synopsis, from the auction’s page:
Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-MEN.
“X-Men: First Class” is due in theaters June 3, 2011.
