[MYTHBUSTERS] Byron’s Back, And Grant’s Been Busy

Quite a few emails come in to Red Carpet Crash asking about Kari Byron’s return to “Mythbusters,” the Discovery Channel’s benchmark show that takes urban legends and Web rumors and subjects ‘em to science. (Of course, “science” mostly means high explosives, sharp blades moving at high speeds, and other full-scale mayhem.) Byron took time off from “Mythbusters” to give birth to Stella Ruby, her beautiful baby girl, and Jessi Combs stepped in admirably to keep Tory Bellaci and Grant Imahara in line. However, “Mythbusters” faithful have been clamoring for their favorite sculpting Mythbuster.

Their cries to the heavens have been answered, as Byron returns to the show Wednesday, March 31 at 8:00 pm CT:

Meanwhile, the aforementioned Imahara has been busy settling a bet with “The Late Late Show” host Craig Ferguson. An ardent “Mythbusters” fan himself, Ferguson made a wager with Imahara: if Craig could get to 100,000 followers on Twitter, Grant would have to construct a robot sidekick for “The Late Late Show.” As Imahara’s background is in robotics (the first time I heard his name, Grant was piloting “MechaMouserCatbot” on Comedy Central’s “Battlebots”), building a talk show sidekick shouldn’t be any sweat at all. Without any surprise at all, Ferguson hit the 100k mark on Twitter, and Imahara got to work:

The fruits of Imahara’s labor will be revealed when the Robot Skeleton Sidekick joins Ferguson on Monday, April 5.
