‘Dazed And Confused’ Free Midnight Screening

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the first “Suds & Cinema” event a hit. We’re putting our heads together with Lone Star Beer to figure out what the next Friday night flick will be – keep your ear to the ground…

Our friends at Lone Star Beer (one of the primary sponsors of our 2010 Big Gold Statue Watching Party at the Lakewood Theater) are teaming up with Red Carpet Crash to bring you a free screening of an “instant classic,” Richard Linklater’s “Dazed And Confused.” The free screening, the first in a series of events RCC and Lone Star will be presenting this year, is at 11:59 pm Friday, March 26 at the Magnolia.

If you want a pair of tickets, please register below. Only register for these tickets if you’re 21 years old or older, and are willing and able to attend – this isn’t like a normal screening that we host, but one where we want folks there who really love midnight movies, especially “Dazed And Confused.”

In a small Texas enclave, highlights the rites of passage on the last day of school in 1976 for the new, incoming freshmen at the hands of the class of ’77 at Robert E. Lee High School. Freshman boys are physically punished, while the girls largely face the brunt of verbal abuse and humiliation. Two main figures emerge. Incoming freshman Mitch Kramer comes to a new realization in his role as a major target of senior hazing. And, among the seniors is Randall “Pink” Floyd, the school’s star quarterback, who moves with facile grace among groups of greasers, nerds, stoners, and athletes alike.
