Corman, SyFy get together for SHARKTOPUS!

Roger Corman, “King of the B’s” and recent recipient of an honorary Lifetime Achievement Oscar has teamed up with the SyFi (SciFi – really, who are they fooling) Channel, whose original films include such winners as, “Anonymous Rex,” “Mega Snake,” and “Chupacabra: Dark Seas.” And what could this most unholy of marriages bring to us?

One word: Sharktopus.

Yes, Deadline: Hollywood tells us that, not simply content to bring us abnormally-sized animals, the Powers-That-Be at SyFy apparently thought it was time for a bizzaro Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup monster mashup of part-shark, part-octopus.

Really – you can’t make this shit up.

At least they have the perfect director for the film in Corman who has been directing fare like this since before I was born.

Now, we just have to wait for Chihuanas.
