Altitude: There’s Something in the Air

“Altitude,” at first blush, looks like any number of “teens in trouble” movies. A group of good looking kids and one nerdy one thrown in for good measure: check. A trip to a concert that goes wrong: check.  Someone or something stalking them: check.

Then they mix it up a bit.

The trip takes place in a small plane that is stuck in a climb and the thing stalking them is in the clouds and has tentacles.

Yes, tentacles.

As a great big fan of all things Lovecraftian, that puts a smile on my face immediately. Sure some of the dialogue is a little bad, but I’m willing to overlook it because there are tentacles.

“Altitude” is slated for 2010 but doesn’t have a hard date or even a distributor yet. I’ll be keeping my eye on this one. Nice to see something that’s not a slasher, vampire or zombie.
