History Channel Announces First Scripted Series

A Kennedy mini series is coming to the History Channel. This marks the first scripted series for the network. “24” co-creator Joel Surnow has teamed with History for the eight-hour mini that will look at the Kennedy dynasty.

With an expected debut in 2011, the series will be directed by “24” executive producer Jon Cassar. Steve Kronish, also from “24,” will write the episodes. Asylum Entertainment and Muse Entertainment will produce.

The series will focus on the entire dynasty, starting with the early years of patriarch Joseph Kennedy.
