Upcoming Patterson Novel Gets TV Adaptation

Twentieth Century Fox Television and Imagine Television have partnered with CBS to develop a drama based on James Patterson’s upcoming novel “Private.”

Jason Cahill will be writing the adaptation, which should be in the hands of CBS in news. The series will focus on Jack Morgan, an ex-Marine and former CIA agent, who becomes a private detective after taking over the family business.

“Private,” the novel, will be hitting shelves on June 28 and was co-written by Maxine Paetro.

This will be the second series based on a Patterson book. His “Women’s Murder Club” book series became a drama on ABC but didn’t last too long. Perhaps “Private” will do much better.

About Josh Rollins

Josh Rollins is currently writing his eighth novel, and by eighth we mean first, and by first we mean he's not writing it. Josh does stand-up comedy, radio production, and grocery store clerking, all very poorly. The only thing he is actually pretty good at is watching movies.
