‘Twilight’: Films Or TV?
Lots of interesting news for you Twi-hards out there…the first is Tuesday’s report in Australia’s “The Daily Telegraph†that Robert Pattinson is in talks with Summit Entertainment for a “Twilight†TV show to begin after next June’s “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse†film release.
According to the article, Pattinson would make as much as $1.8 million per episode.
On the other hand, Variety reports that Summit may go the “Harry Potter†route and split the last novel in Stephenie Meyer’s series, Breaking Dawn, into two films, shot back-to-back. Apparently Melissa Rosenberg would continue writing the scripts, but sources say at this point she has not been told how many scripts will be needed.
This news naturally means more money, a lot more money, not only for Pattinson, but also for co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
Neither of these stories referenced the information in the other, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out, as it seems highly illogical to release one film, and a TV show, while filming two other films back to back—but maybe the fans’ happiness (and the money) will be worth it for Summit and the actors.
