Comedy Writer Sultan Pepper Passes

According to Variety, comedy writer Sultan Pepper (best. name. ever.), died unexpectedly Oct. 20 in Murrieta at the age of 47. Pepper had a 17-year career that started with “The Ben Stiller Show.”

Pepper won an Emmy in 1993 for writing in a variety or music program. She shared the award with Stiller, Judd Apatow, and David Cross for writing “The Ben Stiller Show.”

Pepper also wrote for “The Stephanie Miller Show,” “Crashbox,” and “CatDog.” She also wrote and produced reality shows “Blind Date” and “Street Smarts.”
