‘All Saints Day’ Set For Dallas, ‘Gentlemen Broncos’ Gets Stabled
After a frenzied push by “Boondock Saints” fans who didn’t want the East Coast to have all of the fun, Sony Pictures announced the sequel “All Saints Day” would open in several major markets on Friday, November 13, including Dallas.
Fans in the following cities will join New York, Los Angeles and Boston as “Saints” viewers: San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Washington DC, Sacramento, Philadelphia, Hartford (CT), Houston and Dallas.

Between the furor to get “Paranormal Activity” and “All Saints Day,” the whole “Demand It” tactic seems to be getting some wind in its sails. Perhaps the folks at Fox Searchlight should pay attention, as their “quirky” comedy “Gentlemen Broncos” has been shelved from a national release.
“Broncos,” starring “Flight of the Conchords” star Jemaine Clement and produced by the team behind “Napoleon Dynamite,” got mixed reviews at various festivals it screened for earlier in the year, and opened on two screens in New York and Los Angeles to a paltry $5,751 per screen. Tack on the unsure economic climate, and a poor roll-out strategy for “Whip It,” and you’ve got one skittish “major indie” studio.
