Trailer For Final Season Of ’24′ Online

I’ve likened my relationship with Fox’s “24″ to that of a co-dependent boyfriend or spouse: I know it’s going to wind up hurting me in the long run, but I keep going back to it.

January 17 marks the return of Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer to the screen, for the eighth season of “24″ – which we’re hearing will be the last. The teaser for the season aired during Game One of the World Series (Go Phillies):

Here’s what can be gleaned from the clips:

  • We knew Jack was going to recover from the whole “I’m dying from a virus” thing, and since he’s hanging out with Kim and his grandson, the “procedure” she volunteered for as the seconds ticked away on Day Seven worked like a champ.
  • Love seeing Benito Martinez (Captain / Councilman Aceveda from “The Shield”) making an appearance, but I’m betting he doesn’t last two episodes before taking a bullet to the throat.
  • Allison Taylor’s still the president of the United States, which means we get another great season with Cherry Jones.
  • We get a touch of face time with new CTU NYC section head Brian Hastings (Mykelti Williamson), a glance at Chloe O’Brien as a supervisor (and glammed up, to boot!), and a couple of frames of what the New York CTU branch looks like.
  • No sign of the Jack Bauer Satchel, but I still hold out hope.

“Bink! Bonk! Bink! Bonk!”

Sure, we'd love to think that we're solving all of society's ills, or curing cancer, or stopping Uwe Boll from adapting more video games into horrible films. None of these, sadly, are feasible at this time. [...Read More About RCC]
