I think that the IDEA of this film was indeed more frightful than the film itself. I agree with Jon above me in that this was indeed "The little horror movie that could" but it was missing the "Umph" factor that would have had me losing sleep. After becoming dreadfully tired of the torture porn genre that's taken over horror, I was REALLY looking forward to being scared out of my wits. But too many gaping inconsistencies, a cornucopia of setup with very little payoff, and a bit of a contrived ending had me sleeping like a baby last night. Bummer...

To start off with, I would like to say than you for putting together an excellent screening. It was my first and very enjoyable. It was also nice to finally put a face with the voice from the radio.

Like you, I too remember being on edge for days and nights after playing the first Resident Evil. I had nightmares of zombies and the alligator at the end attacking me with an empty shotgun as my only line of defense. I was 11 at the time and I am sure that if 11 year old version of me were to see "Paranormal Activity," I would have been freaked out. In my opinion this movie will probably only scare those of us that fall between the ages of 11-16.

I admire the lack of CGI, the use of unknown actors, and the low budget used to produce this movie. However, when it was all said and done, I was glad that this was a free screening. For those looking to watch this film, may I recommend watching episodes of Criminal Minds. A look into the psyche of a serial killer is far scarier than an invisible demon that likes to take the covers off of a girl.

only two good things about this movie: the boyfriend, who was very funny and the fact that this movie is only one star better than Blair Witch Project for which it was rated zero stars. sorry but the truth hurts.
