‘Halloween 3D’ Coming Next Year Without Zombie

You won’t have Rob Zombie to kick around Haddonfield anymore. The LA Times tells us that the Weinstein Co is moving ahead with its long suffering franchise with yet another installment, due out next summer. However, they will not be using Rob Zombie’s name to prop up the project. Instead, they are going the 3-D route citing statistics that show increased revenues from 3-D screenings.

As for a director, they haven’t announced anyone yet, by they said it will be someone with experience in horror who has a “different take” on the franchise.

Well, it certainly couldn’t hurt.
