RCC Power Hour: Hard Rock Cafe Dallas
Thursday afternoon, we’ll be there when Dallas gets the Hard Rock Café back. The new location in Victory Park has been open for a couple of weeks, and the Gala Grand Opening is tomorrow night, featuring the Old 97s. The event benefits Mark Cuban’s Fallen Patriot Fund, and while the gala is sold out, you can still help the Hard Rock meet their goal of raising a lot of money for this worthwhile cause.
If you go to the Hard Rock Cafe today (Wednesday, August 19) between 4:00 – 7:00 pm, you can donate $1 to the Fallen Patriot Fund and get a special Hard Rock / Dallas Mavericks blue rubber wristband showing your support of US Military Personnel. Donate $50, and you can get two Mavericks pre-season tickets (a $65 dollar value).
Devin Pike (that’s me – I hate writing about myself in the third person) will be in the bar area, and bartendress extraordinaire Christina will be ready to hook you up with all kinds of donation-related goodies. I’ll be sweetening the deal: if you show up tonight during the Power Hour and donate $10 or more to the Fallen Patriot Fund, I’ll put your name in a drawing for a Hard Rock Dallas’ exclusive Grand Opening collectible pin out of my own pocket. Only 5,000 were made, and they sold out within 48 hours of the shop opening. So, yeah, they’re rare. We’ll also have posters and screening tickets to give away to anyone who shows up, so there’s incentives galore.
It’s a good cause, so head to the new Hard Rock and show your love.
