More Reboots: Godzilla and Lestat

With as many “reboots” that are coming out of Hollywood these days, you would thing the town was run by Microsoft. I guess it’s just a lot easier and hipper to say reboot than, “we fucked up and have to start over.”

On Blue Screen of Death number one, we have Godzilla. Bloody Disgusting reports that Legendary Pictures wants to try its hand at unleashing the Beast from the East. There are no details but I’m sure they will shock and dismay fanboys everywhere when they do.

Blue Screen of Death number two I find both appalling and intriguing all at once – kinda like a threesome with Kylie Ireland and Judy Tenuta. Bloody Disgusting strikes again with the new rumor that Universal would like to resurrect Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles. Appalled? Me too, but here’s they interesting bit. BD has also confirmed that Universal is in close talks with none other than Robert Downey Jr. to play the vampire Lestat. See? Intriguing. Can RDJ bring the Vampire Chronicles back from the dead? Only time will tell.
