‘Bandslam’ Sponsors Local Music Battle

If you think your band can make the grade, it’s time to put your mic cords where your mouth is, and sign up for the North Texas “BANDSLAM Battle of the Bands.”

In conjunction with the new movie “Bandslam” (read the RCC review), bands can enter a competition for a $250 AMEX gift card, a meeting with a local music producer, and 30 free CDs from FYE.

Interested bands should head to the signup page, and be prepared to upload a video of original material by July 31.

The winner will be announced at Ridgmar Mall at 3:00 pm on August 5, and perform at the mall’s Center Court along with The Burning Hotels, one of the acts featured in “Bandslam.” Anyone at the performance can pick up tickets for an advance screening of “Bandslam” at 5:00 pm at the Rave Motion Pictures Ridgmar 13 theater.

Red Carpet Crash’s Sam the Mailman and Devin Pike will host the event, and have prizes to give away.
